Clubs & Service

At Archbishop McCarthy High School, I’ve been involved in several clubs and community projects that have helped me grow as a creative and as a person.

Through Helping Hands, I made crafts and cards for seniors and hospital patients, small gestures meant to brighten someone’s day. With Paws for a Cause, I volunteered to help care for orphaned dogs.

I’ve also been part of Best Buddies, a program that builds friendships with students who have special needs. One of my favorite experiences has been co-founding Hearts in Action, a club created to make our school a more supportive, kind, and faith-centered community. Seeing students come together to help one another has been one of the most rewarding parts of high school.

This year, I joined DECA to explore the business side of creativity and learn new ways to develop ideas and present them professionally.

Outside of school, I volunteered with New Horizons, where I helped package food for homeless families at a local food pantry. Across all of these experiences, I’ve learned how much I enjoy working with others, taking initiative, and finding ways to make a difference through design, service, and teamwork.

Anti-Bullying Club

Archbishop McCarthy High School |In Progress

This year, I’m helping to start an anti-bullying club at school to create a more positive and supportive environment for everyone. Our goal is to make kindness and respect a bigger part of everyday life at Archbishop McCarthy. We’re planning activities, discussions, and awareness campaigns that encourage students to stand up for one another and celebrate differences. I’ve learned how much leadership can come from setting the right example, and I want to help build a space where every student feels safe, included, and valued.
